LA County and LAUSD guidelines are, in summary:
If you have COVID, isolate at home until at least 24 hours have passed since your fever broke (without the aid of fever reducing medication) and your symptoms have improved.
Then return to school or work and wear a tight-fitting mask for the remaining days up to a total of 10 days from onset OR until you test negative two days in a row.
Also, remember that the new vaccine is available through most doctors and pharmacies including CVS, and Paxlovid treatment is available and is effective if started early on.
Be well!
