Dear Walgrove Families and Staff, 

I hope you have had a wonderful MLK JR weekend thus far!

Here is a happy health reminder:

>> COVID protocols remain: Test as needed/desired. If positive, isolate for five days and return to school/work on Day 6 if no fever and symptoms have improved. No need to test to return. Mask through Day 10. Info on vaccines and more here at the LA County Department of Public Health

Here is some of what is coming up this weekend at Walgrove:

TUE

Early Dismissal 1:32

Angel City Youth Chorale 1:45 in the Auditorium. All students welcome!

PD 1:45 Rm 24 Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

After-school tutoring with high school students in the Library until 6pm

WED

Musical theater auditions for students in grades 4-5. 2:32-4:00pm in the Auditorium

After-school tutoring with high school students in the Library until 6pm

THU

Musical theater auditions for students in grades 2-3. 2:32-4:00pm in the Auditorium

After-school tutoring with high school students in the Library until 6pm

FRI 

Parent Tour 8am in the Quad and beyond (refreshments in the Library)

Assembly 8:05 in the Quad. Ms. Danielle's class to lead the Pledge. Performer(s) TBD

Jonney Machtig offers chess during recess and lunch at the tables in the Quad (and to one interested class in between). This is just a demo to solidify interest and work out potential pain points. 70 families and staff answered the chess survey and 93% were enthusiastically in favor.

Rose Bowl Half Marathon (Dr. K is participating). Come and run alongside OR cheer her on from the sidelines OR from the comfort of your recliner (which is where she will be right afterward!)
