Dear Walgrove Families and Staff,
Only one week until Winter Break! This year has burst on by like a freight train under a Christmas tree (see and hear mine below!)
And this week will burst on by too!
Here are a few announcements:
The class with the highest parent participation rate on the LAUSD School Experience Survey, according to my records, is Ms. Danielle DeWig's class! This means that Ms. Danielle's class ALL get FREE Menchie's, and the whole class gets to be the first in line Friday, December 16. (In an organized way, of course!)
The Holiday Market and Holiday Program (AKA Winter Concert AKA Winter Sing) are this Thursday, December 15.

MON, DEC 19
Optional Acceleration Day #1 for Those Who Choose at Broadway Elementary 8:15-2:45 (details forthcoming, as Karen and I receive them). Karen Reynolds from Short Ave and I will be acting as Co-Principals for these two days. Ms. Danielle DeWig from Walgrove will be teaching first grade, and Ms. Nery Garcia will provide administrative support. Ms. Janet Solomon will provide Special Education support. (The District has consolidated, so only some sites are open, and only those administrators, staff, and teachers who have signed up will be working at the assigned sites. All students who desire may attend. If interested, register here.)
